Investment Advisor Representative
My commitment is to assist clients in developing a vision for their financial future and helping them on their journey toward their goals. I am a life-long educator, and I want my clients to know and understand their financial position.
I am a native Texan, and I have spent the majority of my career in central Texas. In 2011, holding a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations, I began work with Planto Roe Financial Services, Inc. (San Antonio) as a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative.
In 2018, I joined Smith Wealth Advisors, LLC as an Investment Advisor Representative. My practice includes Investment Advisory Services, Retirement Services, Life and Disability Insurance, Long Term Care Planning, Business Services, and Financial Strategies. For financial services, I am a fiduciary, fee-only advisor.
Before beginning work in the financial services industry, I completed a 28-year career in music education. I led successful band programs throughout central Texas, and those groups won numerous awards and honors under my direction.
My degrees include a Bachelor of Music from Texas Tech University (1976), a Master of Music from The University of Texas at Austin (1981), and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas School of Law (1990).
I am an active member of the State Bar of Texas, and I offer selected legal services. I belong to Central Presbyterian Church in Austin. My professional memberships include the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Adjudicators Association, and Phi Beta Mu (an honorary music fraternity).
If you want someone to talk with about your financial future who will work closely with you to develop a strategy tailored to your needs, wants, and desires, I would love to visit with you. Contact me at [email protected].
